About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced small animal veterinary surgeon to join our growing team, with the potential to take on a branch lead role. You’ll have access to:
- State-of-the-art equipment: CT scanner, digital X-ray, quality ultrasound (including Doppler), full IDEXX lab, endoscopy, laparoscopy, and excellent surgical facilities.
- A strong clinical support network: Certificate holders in cardiology, dermatology, small animal surgery, ophthalmology, and dentistry working alongside a Clinical Committee
- Ongoing development: Regular clinical meetings, supportive management, and mentorship opportunities for career growth.
About You
You’ll be a compassionate, proactive, and adaptable vet who thrives in a busy clinical setting. You value continuous learning, bring a positive, team-oriented mindset, and are committed to delivering excellent care to both clients and their pets.
Essential Criteria
- MRCVS-qualified and eligible to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available)
- 4+ years’ experience in small animal practice
- Confident in routine surgery and general medicine
- Excellent communication and client rapport skills
- Committed to high clinical standards and patient care
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Willing to join a 1:4 Saturday rota
Desirable
- Interest or experience in a clinical specialism
- Certificate holder or working towards a postgraduate qualification
- Experience mentoring junior vets or leading a team
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostics/surgical tools (e.g. CT, laparoscopy)
- Interest in fear-free or low-stress handling techniques
What You Can Expect from Us
✅ Competitive salary: £35,000 – £65,000 (DOE)
