Registered Veterinary Nurse

Qualified RVN

An exciting position has arisen for a fully qualified RVN to join our busy first opinion and referral practices in Teignbridge and Torbay.

We require an organised, friendly team player to join our expanding veterinary team, with potentially a senior position for a suitably
experienced candidate.

We are a 100% small animal practice with certificate holders in Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiology, with state of the art equipment including CT and in-house laboratory.

This is a full time position to include some OOH and weekend duties on a generous rota.

CPD is encouraged and supported with RCVS and VDS fees paid. Driving licence and own transport necessary.

Veterinary Receptionist

Bay Vet Group is seeking the perfect candidate to join our expanding team, working between our five surgeries in Torbay and Teignbridge.

We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Receptionist for our busy first opinion and referral practice. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a receptionist, ideally within the veterinary, animal care or rescue industry. The successful candidate must show a high willingness to learn, be motivated, confident and able to interact well with our clients providing a consistent high level of service and customer care.

Key duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to; answering the telephone and greeting clients, scheduling appointments efficiently, providing advice on a wide range of veterinary subjects and
products, invoicing, debt management and stock ordering, registering clients and organising computerised records, maintaining of reception and consulting areas.

This is a full time position of 40 hours per week to include some weekend hours on a rota basis. Competitive salary with staff benefits.

Veterinary Surgeon

Full or part-time

Due to business development, Bay Vet Group are looking for an enthusiastic vet to join our team

Our 10 vet team, including certificate holders in Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Small Animal Surgery, Dermatology, Dentistry and Exotics, plus up to date equipment including CT scanner, full dental suite and lab means that we can provide our clients with comprehensive care.

Opportunities available for a full or part time position.

CPD encouraged as we are very keen for staff to develop themselves to their maximum potential. Certificate enrollment encouraged and funded. We offer generous CPD budgets with vets this year going to NAVC in Florida, BSAVA, LVS, Barcelona and Luxembourg. Business ownership is also an option in the future for the right candidate.

Ideally you would have completed at least 1 year in practice but as a Vetsure accredited Graduate Friendly practice we can support you to develop into a great vet.

New Graduate Veterinary Surgeon

To join our New Graduate Programme

Position:
• We are looking for a recently qualified vet who is looking to develop their primary skills in a supported environment.
• We are a Vetsure New Graduate Friendly accredited independent small animal practice. Our senior clinicians are used to mentoring new graduates having run the program for 3 years. Danni our first new graduate is still working with us now!
• Your working week will be broken down so that you will spend some days or half days on regular consultations and minor procedures, and some time being shadowed/ shadowing a senior clinician to allow you to develop your skills.
• This position is for two year’s duration although there may be the option to extend the contract or join the full time team.
Hours:
• For the first month, you will work 4 long days per week (8.30-6.30), with no duties. This induction period will allow you to familiarise yourself with our friendly staff and the equipment and building.
• After the first month, you will switch to a two week rota cycle, with a minimum of 1 days shadowing/ training per week.
• Weekdays are 8.30-6.30 (for both training and working days). Week one is 3 long days, week two is 4 long days.
• One full day off per week
• One long weekend (Friday through Sunday) off every two weeks
• One short Saturday (9-1) in two
• One weekend on call in two (this supported by a senior vet who is on second call). This ties in with your short Saturday. The senior vet who is on second call will be working a long Saturday and a Sunday surgery as well.
• One week night duty per week with a senior vet second on call.
Annual Leave:
• 5.6 weeks including bank holidays

• Annual budget £600
• RCVS and VDS Subscriptions paid by the practice
• Mentoring through the Professional Development Phase (PDP)
Sick Pay:
• As per government guidelines, Statutory Sick Pay
Cars
• You are responsible for providing your own vehicle and ensuring it is insured for business work.
• Business mileage is paid at 45p/mile
Accommodation
• Provided as part of the position at our Dawlish surgery
• One bedroom, partly furnished, ground floor apartment refurbished to a high standard 2 years ago complete with internet access and all utilities paid, with private access, outside patio areas and off street parking
